tank truck couplings, EN 14420-6 (DIN 28450)
Tanker truck couplings or also TW couplings are standardised to EN 14420-6 (previously DIN 28450) and interchangeable throughout Europe. The couplings consist of a V-part (father part) and an M-part (mother part), which are pressed together by turning the clamping lever and thus seal on the sealing in the crown piece of the mother part. The clamping lever is flipped down after turning and thus locks the connection of the two coupling parts. The couplings have no valves and have a large free flow area with 50, 80 or 100 mm nominal width. Caution Risk of injury: Before decoupling make sure that the coupling is depressurised!
