Pneumatic positioning systems as a rule consist of an actuator (pneumatic cylinder or rotary drive), a path or angle measurement system, a control device (controller) and a proportional directional valve. These individual components can be connected with each other and thus enable the free positioning of an actuator or to carry out a soft-stop.
